In this article, you will learn how to delete an item in the Inventory app from the desktop.
How to Delete an Item from the Overview Page
This method is best for deleting an item from a single area.
1. From the Inventory app, click on the Overview page.
Note: If you have multiple properties in your login, select the appropriate property from the dropdown and click Go to Hotel.
2. Click on the area in the Hotel Assets grid where your item is housed.
3. Scroll down and find the item that you wish to delete within the area, then click Details to the right within the Actions column.

4. Under the Actions heading, click Edit.
5. Under the Actions heading, click Delete.
Note: You will unable to delete an item if there is Work Order history tied to it.
How to Delete an Item from the Item List Page
This method is best for deleting an item from multiple areas at once.
1. From the Inventory app, click on the Item List page.
Note: If you have multiple properties in your login, select the appropriate property from the dropdown and click Go to Hotel.
2. Find the category of item you wish to delete from your area(s) and click See Item Types to the right within the Actions column.

3. Find the item type you wish to delete and click See Items to the right within the Actions column.
4. Select the checkbox next to the item(s) you want to delete. Click Select All to check all boxes. Once selected, click Delete to remove them from the area(s).

Note: Deleting an item from Inventory will delete it from your Work Order item options.
